The shallowest, most fleeting measure of a company’s success can be found in its bottom line. At the end of the day, profits don’t mean a thing if there are hurting people around us and we’ve done nothing to help them. Put another way, a company’s success can be measured by the degree to which its existence influences its world.
In the book of James, we find these words:
"Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?" – James 2:15-16 (NIV).
With this verse in mind, we at InCal Technologies are active on both local and global scales in our efforts to reach out and make a practical difference in our world.
In our local community, InCal is a Platinum supporter of the City Rescue Mission of Saginaw, a nonprofit faith-based organization that provides emergency assistance to people of Mid-Michigan in their time of need. We are also a key supporter of the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission in Bay City in their campaign to add a men’s wing to their facility.
Another facet of our local effort is the Spring 2008 purchase of a Shimadzu SDU-1100, a state-of-the-art three-dimensional ultrasound machine for the Pregnancy Resource Center of Midland. With this tool, the P.R.C. has a greater opportunity to influence pregnant girls and women who may be abortion-minded to choose life for their unborn baby. “I’m very excited,” Lee Lambert explains, “that our efforts here are going to help save lives.”
On a global level, our donations support faith-based efforts to reach people with the Gospel of Christ in Afghanistan, Africa, and Ireland.

InCal Technologies is also very active in economic circles in our local community. For three consecutive years, we have been recognized by Saginaw Future, Inc. with their 2006, 2007, and 2008 Economic Excellence awards for Outstanding Economic Investment in the Saginaw area. The awards recognize our committment to improving our local economy through job creation and technological investment.
